Six Hours. Six Themes. Six Photos.
Saturday was the sixth FfotoAber festival, and this year I decided to go along and take part in the photomarathon with my wife and baby in tow. I would not have done it without her though, we had a lot of fun wandering about Aberystwyth town, finding things to fit the themes while pushing Snappy around in his pushchair. It was a long day and he was a very good baby, bless. We were all wiped by the end of the day but I definitely want to do it again next year. And I want to take my niece and nephew too.
The basic premise is this: six hours, six themes, six photos. There are four categories – Removable lens, fixed lens, mobile phones and under 16. We didn’t win anything, but we had fun. In the end we took about 360 photos overall, though some were for my own personal projects and some of Snappy. We tried really hard not to pick the more obvious way to represent the theme but it was difficult. Raw was hard. I have to admit I was a little disappointed that some of the winners were the more obvious interpretations but never mind.
You can check out the winners on their facebook page.
